CAST Engineered Wall Light (Surface Mount) (CEWL6CB, CEWL6LED1)

Compact, Rugged and Versatile (Incandescent and LED Versions)

CAST Engineered Wall Light (CEWL5CB)

Description

Attractive wall light constructed of solid bronze with copper tabs for surface mounting.

LED version hosts a fully integrated LED source with constant current driver and excellent thermal management. LED board is rated for 60,500 hrs. with minimal lumen degradation and warranty of 5 years. LED board is replaceable. (More details in Specifications tab.)

Features
  • Solid bronze construction, highly corrosion resistant, naturally weathers to a beautiful patina.
  • Solid copper bracket allows for quick installation in a variety of locations. Bracket is thin enough so it does not interfere with retaining wall construction.
  • Lamp housing with internal reflector enclosed within frosted glass lens for a wide even light distribution (no hot spots).
  • Lamp protected from sprinklers and rain.
  • Pre-wired with 25’ tin-coated No-Ox® marine grade wire.
  • CEWL6CB: 10,000 hr. 10W xelogen lamp included.

Design Guide

This new wall light has a very wide and diffuse beam. It projects about 50% wider than our Deck Light (CDL1CB). Spacing recommendations to achieve slight overlap of beams:
  • Wall Mounted
    • 24" above grade: space 6 to 8 ft. apart
    • 30" above grade: space 8 to 10 ft. apart
  • Stair Riser Mounted:
    • 4" to 6" above stair tread: 4 ft. apart
Regarding how bright the illumination appears when mounted on stair riser - There is a diffuse bright region directly beneath the fixture of approximately 5 fc, this diminishes gradually and smoothly with increasing distance. The bright region does not overly distract from the overall illumination of the staircase - the overall impression is beautiful and appropriate.
